Katie Bulmer-Cooke
Fitness mad, personal trainer and The Apprentice star 2014.
What made you apply for the Apprentice?
I really wanted to win! Having done a lot of market research I knew my business plan had legs and was unique and felt strongly that it would benefit the city too. The idea however needed investment and who better to go into business with than Lord Sugar, his expertise and experience is second to none.
What was it like getting to meet Lord Sugar for the first time?
Incredible. He has such presence and is extremely sharp!
Is there any of the other candidates you keep in regular contact with?
I still keep in touch with Roisin, Bianca, Mark and Felipe. Myself and Roisin got on particularly well and shared a room together in the house. She's fab!
How has being on the Apprentice changed your life?
In so many ways, it has been a very positive experience. The process taught me a lot about myself...I'm tougher than I thought I could ever be, and I learned that I am a strong leader and sales person.
I've had some amazing opportunities on the back of the show, such as writing a book, many professional speaking engagements and lots of new consulting work too.
What is your favourite food?
Has to be steak...medium of course!
How long have you been into fitness and healthy things?
Forever! Since the age of 4 I sat in the corner of my mam's fitness classes, watching her inspire people and get them fit, and from that point on it's all I ever wanted to do!
I think I'm right in saying that the sign up for the Sunderland 10k is coming up, do you plan on signing up?
I can't wait for the Sunderland 10K! Not only am I running it with a big group of my clients and fitness friends but I'm also warming up the event, suspended above the crowd on a big platform, so heres hoping for good weather and best of luck to everyone taking part!
